Oxford, MS , April 1, 2010 – Oxford Expositions, LLC announces the launch of a trade event that will provide a new forum in the broadband marketplace.
The Broadband Expo will offer a specific focus on rural America with educational tracks as well as a broad range of topics covering broadband in other segments of the marketplace.
“Our goal is to create a niche show that will offer in-depth education and certification training, showcase products and services and provide a networking opportunity for those in the rural segments of the market, as well as fill a void for other segments where shows have been canceled,” said Jen Robinson, CEO of Oxford Expositions LLC.
The show will be held in Dallas at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center on November 1-3, 2010. The Broadband Expo will cover other verticals in the wireless marketplace such as health care, education, environmental awareness, home entertainment and business. “The extension of technology to rural America is critical and that importance is reflected in the $7.2 billion in stimulus funding announced by the Obama administration. Robinson said. “The timing of our launch will provide a new vehicle in the industry that will be the go-to source to network and learn about the broadband influence and impact on businesses, while also creating a much needed focus in one specific area – rural America.”
